Disc is not ready

• Press the Eject button on your CD-writer, and make sure that a blank CD is inserted in the CD-writer. Press the Eject button a second time to pull the blank CD into the CD-writer.

• Try a different blank CD. Sometimes, errors in the CD media can result in a “disc not ready” message.

• Check the connections for your CD-writer. A loose connection can result in a “disc not ready” message.

• Check the CD-writer. If the manufacturer of the CD-writer included diagnostic software, use that software to confirm that the CD-writer is connected correctly, and is functioning properly.
